Judas Says Recent BBL Recipients Are Getting Less Attention and Financial Benefits

Nigerian content creator and businesswoman Judas the Bead Maker has sparked conversations online after reflecting on what she described as the declining social and financial benefits associated with Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures.

Judas, who has openly discussed her own experience with cosmetic surgery, said women who underwent BBL procedures between 2024 and 2026 are now facing increased scrutiny and having to justify their decisions.

“Nobody has suffered as much as those of us who got BBL in 2024, 2025 and 2026. We’re constantly having to explain ourselves because there’s no benefit to BBL anymore,” she said.

She compared the experience of recent BBL recipients with women who underwent the procedure earlier, arguing that the latter group benefited from greater attention from wealthy men and social circles.

“You see the people who did their BBL way back? Those are the ones who enjoyed it because at that time, boys were hot, ballers were around. You could do your BBL, enter the streets and enjoy,” Judas said.

According to the content creator, women who undergo the procedure today may need to rely more heavily on social media and content creation if they hope to generate income from their appearance.

“But now, there’s nothing anymore. We have to explain because if we don’t explain, how are we going to see the money from the yansh? If you don’t create content, you won’t make money,” she added.

Judas also humorously advised women to think carefully before spending money on BBL, saying the procedure should not be viewed as a guaranteed route to attention or financial opportunities.

Her comments have renewed online discussions about cosmetic surgery, beauty standards and the changing social perceptions surrounding BBL in Nigeria.

Brazilian Butt Lift involves transferring fat to the buttocks to alter body shape. The procedure has become increasingly visible through social media and popular culture, while conversations around its costs, risks, personal motivations and societal expectations continue to evolve.
