Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile has announced October 24, 2026, as the date for his wedding celebration with his longtime partner, Davita Lamai, sharing a heartwarming pre-wedding video that has attracted attention from fans and fellow celebrities.
The singer, whose real name is Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, unveiled the announcement in a video posted on Instagram on Thursday, October 8. The clip features romantic images of the couple alongside a voice-over from one of their sons, adding a family-centred touch to the wedding announcement.
“When I think about love, I think about my mommy and daddy,” their son says in the video, describing the affection and support his parents share. He also acknowledges the role he and his younger brother play in their parents’ love story.
The video concludes with the wedding date, October 24, 2026, and the hashtag #DTTheUnion, inviting followers to anticipate the celebration.
The announcement has drawn congratulatory messages from fans and members of Nigeria’s entertainment industry. Fellow singer Davido was among those who reacted, commenting, “Na man U be,” according to reports by The Sun Nigeria and other local media outlets.
Zlatan and Davita have been together for several years and share two sons. Their relationship has attracted public interest over time, particularly amid speculation about their marital status. Reports earlier this year suggested that the couple had held a private civil wedding, although details of that ceremony were not extensively confirmed by them publicly.
The upcoming celebration marks another significant milestone for the couple, whose decision to feature their child in the announcement has given the video a personal dimension beyond the usual celebrity pre-wedding reveal.
Zlatan rose to prominence in Nigeria’s music industry through his energetic street-pop sound and the success of songs such as “Zanku (Leg Work).” He has since built a strong following through music releases and collaborations.
